Clue 1

The first furry fox friend you’ll meet goes by the name of Bess. She’s hoping to put you to the test. As you hunt, make sure your paths are clear–this expedition will have you smiling from ear to ear. To find her, search for a park and a hall. This place is known for tourism and is WELCOME to all.

Clue 2

Go up to the corner, where two generals meet. Then turn right and move your feet! Pass 12 poles and 7 posts… As Shakespeare once said, “A ___ by any other name would smell as sweet.”

Clue 3

Onward! Ready to meet Harris? Turn right at the intersection nearest The Rose and look for a black awning over the news. You will find Harris where you can share your views.

Clue 4

On with the hunt for another fox! Follow North Jackson until it meets East Main and search for the double set of stairs. Now, look low near a raised signal pole–there you will find Justice’s lair.

Clue 5

At the intersection of West and East Main, take a spin and head west. At the place for reading, you’ll find some rest. Search the grounds at Dr. Elrod’s feet, as fox friend Libby is at a low seat.

Clue 6

Tally ho! To find the next fox, it’s quite a walk. Retrace your steps and back to the square you go. Look for the war memorial and cross the street. Walk past three porthole windows (on your right) that are opposite the side of the Courthouse clock, and have no fear! From the top of the awning, your fox buddy Todd-Lee is near!

Clue 7

Let’s find another fox friend! Cross right onto East Johnston and let the street lamps light the way. You’ve got it right! Doc is nestled chest high on his perch between the 5th and 6th street light.

Clue 8

One powerful word could spoil this clue, and that’s not what our final friendly fox wants to do. Stay the course, follow East Johnston until it meets Adams Street. Check by building number 2 then hop aboard and look low–but don’t let Thomas the fox startle you!
