Santa Paws: Coco’s Gift Giving Guide

Hey, everyone! I’m Cocopuff! You may have seen me hanging around the CVB office, greeting visitors with an ‘awoo!’ or showing off my neat tricks! (Big fan of belly rubs) I’m the official mascot for the CVB and this newsletter is all about giving YOU some ideas for the gift-giving season!

Start your journey at the CVB office/Welcome Center at 48 Jackson St to see me and pick up a downtown map! Our friendly human staff will be happy to point you in the direction of the perfect gift for the holidays or load you up with all kinds of information to plan your next visit to Forsyth!

Let’s start with our friends over at The Brick Brigade! I meet a lot of little humans who are big fans of Legos and this place has tons of sets to choose from! Pick up a few of your favorites and have a party!

We trotted on over to see what Burty’s Boutique had for the holiday season… The owner, Ms. Lynn, is always on top of the latest trends in fashion. She makes sure my humans look stylish on our days out! Whether you’re looking for something soft and cozy or chic and elegant, stop by Burty’s and have a look!

With my fur mama looking stylish, I had to pick up some accessories, too! We headed over to Miki Leigh’s Jewelry and I picked out my own rhinestone collar and matching charm. Ms. Miki and Lexi had me looking sparkly and cute! I couldn’t leave without a pup cup toy and getting some zoomies in around the store!

All that shopping had me working up an appetite… so, we headed over to the famous Grits Cafe for lunch! I’m a big fan of any place that has delicious food and outdoor seating for us pups — and Forsyth has quite a few!

Before we headed home for the day, we had to make one last stop at Monroe County Animal Services to deliver donations. Some pups aren’t as fortunate as others and are still waiting for their forever families. Ms. Lisa says shelters are always in need of supplies, gifts, and treats! If you can’t foster or adopt just yet, make a donation to your local shelter and rescue this holiday season! (You can even drop off donations at the Welcome Center/CVB office and we’ll deliver it for you! MCAS are always looking for dog food and treats, towels, blankets, toys, and cleaning supplies.)

Thanks for coming along with me! I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful and very happy holiday season! This is Cocopuff, signing off!
