La Pasadita (275 N. Lee Street, Forsyth, GA 31029) is THE place for original fresh Mexican food. The locals know where to go! So be prepared for a short wait — it is absolutely worth it. There’s no wrong choice-and every day has its own special. Tacos are their best seller, and you’ll love their most requested dish-Poblano Chicken. It’s only available on their buffet Wednesday through Friday though, so make sure you don’t miss out! You’ll be so glad you stopped by or got an order to go from this quaint little bistro.

El Tejado (310 Cabiness Road, Forsyth, Georgia 31029) is where you’ll want to go for family ambience and to enjoy the local atmosphere. El Tejado has been a local favorite for more than 30 years and offers you a unique perspective on life here. You’ll see friendly locals and travelers mixing and mingling to form a beautiful tapestry during your dining experience. Be sure to ask for their signature dish, the Texas Allen special. This dish includes chicken, shrimp, and steak on a bed of Mexican rice. It’s smothered in a creamy delicious cheese dip. Yum!

Sol Tacos and Tequila (12 W. Main Street, Forsyth, Georgia 31029)  Where do I begin? This little hotspot is located right on the Square in downtown Forsyth. Depending on the day, you may find some local talent gathering to give a mini concert inside the restaurant. They’ll be quick to tell you they’ll sing you any song you want…for a free beer. Ha-ha! Relax and enjoy the music while you dine. Sol offers Churro Pollo, their specialty dish, as an everyday option. This dish includes chicken, pineapple, and chorizo on a bed of rice. It is smothered with delicious cheese. How can you go wrong with that? There are no bad choices at Sol Tacos and Tequila. Pssst…. ask about their homemade Tequila ice cream. Everything at Sol tastes fantastic!

Our tour wouldn’t be complete without a visit to El Dorado (480 Holiday Circle, Forsyth, Georgia 31029). You’ll have a hard time deciding which entrée to try! El Dorado was the winner of the 2022 Taco Week experience here in #SweetLifeForsyth. El Dorado ensures you will have a beautiful selection of dishes and there will be plenty of it. Looking for a suggestion? Try their Platillos Special.  It’s their most requested dish and you’ll enjoy every bite. This dish includes steak, chicken, shrimp, bell peppers, and onions on a bed of rice. It’s covered with yummy cheese dip. Hungry yet?
